Join us for a members-only hard hat tour of the iconic Woolworth Building on Friday, July 7th at 4pm. Designed by the renowned architect Cass Gilbert in 1913 as Frank W. Woolworth’s NYC headquarters, the Woolworth was the world’s tallest building from its opening in 1913 until 1930. The neo-Gothic building is clad with over 400,000 square feet of terra cotta while the first floor lobby boasts vaults surfaced with Byzantine mosaics and cornices of gilded tracery. The Woolworth Building was named a National Historic Landmark in 1966 and was designated an NYC landmark in 1983.

The top thirty floors of the building are currently undergoing a conversion to condominium residences. Join us for a tour of the exterior restoration work that is taking place as part of the residence conversion. The tour will be led by led by Nicholson & Galloway and will include getting on the scaffold up to the 58th floor where we’ll discuss the reconstruction & restoration of the 29th/30th floor pavilions, stucco work, terra cotta restoration, and have a 360-degree view of the city.

Registration is limited, please make sure to RSVP.
